Man this is making me wanna replay WC3 bc the way the Burning Legion ties all the disparate plots together works really well and you just dont have that in modern WoW anymore

...thinking about it the real problem is fundamentally in WC3 (and a lot of WoW) it was framed as "look there are literally bigger fish to fry (and those fish are responsible for a lot of our old hatreds)" but now its almost "we were dumb for ever fighting in the first place :D"

Thats the thing, like "we need to get over our old hatreds and unite" was a thing since WC3 but it felt like it was written more maturely
