Geldya is a pretty fun addition to the team - his thing is that he counts as more than his 2 types (Grass/Swole) for party bonuses.
You can have an absolute mess of a team, but throwing a Geldya in there will certainly activate a bonus or two. Or six.

Added another event type to the map, the Mercenary Camp! Here you can hire a super overlevelled, upgraded Automon with some bonus stats, but it will only hang around for 5 turns!
You can't upgrade, release or use it in events either, but you CAN obliterate a boss! #automon #gamedev #indiegame

Added a new event type - the grinder. It's an alternative way to get badges - all you need to do is sacrifice a chunk of your team, specifically 3 Automons that share a type. No biggie.
The delay there is not a bug, it's where I'll insert a very colorful animation

In Automon Arena, finding duplicate wild Automons is actually a great thing - capturing duplicates merges them into one, and it's the only way to upgrade abilities!

Battles speed up over time to get things moving. When they are REALLY long and stally, it keeps accelerating until it gets stupid. They attack like machine guns at the end!
There's also a fatigue mechanic that doesn't come in play very often, made for this exact scenario

Fire type has the monopoly on being able to damage enemies that are not in combat, heavily disrupting backline supports and Automons that need time to get going

Updated the Wonder Trade event a bit - now there's a bigger incentive to throw in higher rarity Automons. The one you get in return will have higher level and if you happen to get a worse rarity, it'll come with bonus stats. Capturing rares just to trash them is now a strategy! #indiegame #automon

Added a random 0-2 second lag to the server to see what happens. Turns out, it causes a lot of bugs and makes the game look like it's about to have a stroke.
I will not fix anything and will instead demand that players get better internet

Got bored and started working on a tiny feature that will literally change everything about the game and need weeks of coding: non-combat nodes on the map. Starting off small, with a "Wonder trade" post where you exchange your Automon for a random one. What you give affects what you might get!

Tried messing around with map generation, to make more interesting shapes. It kinda sometimes works, but really breaks at high player counts, creating a ton of chokepoints and imbalance. Back to the drawing board!

Removed strategy from the game. It's all fights now. No more resting. Instant upgrades. Release is something you do at will. Refuse is a reroll.
