We had a 12 volunteers and guests at our first Essecamp on the Isle of Bute, and expect that number to at least double for this next one in May.

We are fairly sure EsseCamp is now the largest trans & non-binary wildcamping adventure in the UK.

Just two weeks until EsseCamp: Isle of Arran '26 and we are making our final preparations to proceedings, which will include some great food, beautiful scenery, and group activities. We have even partnered with WellnessWalks to deliver a guided hike up to the tallest point of the island, Goatfell.
