The beginning stage of an ocean plait mat made out of used orange climbing rope is laid out on a yoga mat. A rabbit sniffs cautiously at it.
A small white dog now sits at the edge of the yoga mat, looking with uncertainty down and to the right. The plait mat now has about eight or nine passes completed, with quite a bit of loose rope to be pulled through yet.
The (nearly) finished ocean plait mat sits on the yoga mat. It is pulled tight, with no gaps in the pattern. Two loose strands dangle from it, not yet cut off.
Significantly more work than I expected, tbh. Tempted to loosen up the pattern and give it some breathing room—but it's just so much work to feed all the rope through to adjust the pattern.
