Oh nice I will, thank you muchhhhhh ♥️
At first I even said to my self it could happen , but then it didn’t add much and I agree with you. It was also in a way climactic, and all of sudden nothing , no reaction . It definitely took away from the film .
Today’s quick update [Nov 17]:
- Clashes between SAF/joint forces and RSF continued in Elfashir.
- Per local health officials, over 33,000 people have been treated for “war-related injuries” in Khartoum State over the 19 months of war.

- from wars in South Sudan 1955, Darfur war 2003, Nuba Mountains 2006 and the one going on now .By drawing similaritiesI can say that the unimaginable brutality shown in this film is very much real and is not a fabrication or agendas.
I highly recommend to watch it if you haven’t already .
I know I’m late to the party given this film is a 2010 Canadian production, and given that western media has its agenda and the movie tells a sorry in the Middle East , one might dismiss the realities portrayed, however, from my experience with war reports and victims/survivors accounts -
My last take is around the blurred lines of injustice, where with every single act of violence the prospect of rational or reason fades even more, turning the entire case into a brutal dilemma .
Another aspect -and this is heart shattering– are the women who are subjected to all kinds of violence and as a result, more children are consequently prone to the same horrible possibilities, creating a complex cycle of reproduced violence and injustice .
One thought I was mentally spiraling about , is the amount of children that have lost their parents due the current war in Sudan. The positive possibilities for these children are next to non in the current climate in the area surrounding Sudan .
Couple nights ago me and a friend watched the movie (Incendies) for the first time. And this movie though it’s not very graphical visually ( not over the average I’d say), yet it broke my heart, and my head was spinning from the scenarios that similar events probably took place in Sudan wars.
Yesterday, I shared a thread of photos by Sudanese photographers, and I really enjoyed it, so I’m back to share more.
I’m no expert & idk how to “discuss” art but maybe I’ll make it a series? Anyway
This is our jasmine we call it Indian Jasmine, it grows like a tall tree , it was our spot me and mom , to sip tea or just chitchat about whatever . I wish I had better quality photos , I never thought I’d contemplate that I might never see my home again or the plants I love .
This grapefruit tree is 20 years older than me, growing up; I used to pic the fruits with my mom , we would pack them up and send some to my eldest sister –she lives in nearby city— my mom always believed that our grapefruit are super special .
It feels like the first few days in threads (the app) , and I love it .
It’s so peaceful here makes me want to share positive things 🥹
So here are some photos by Sudanese photographers I enjoy 🥰
