every so often I'm prone to thinking about the team ICO games, and tonight is one of those nights. the way each of these games portrays their fictional indigenous cultures is so so beautiful, and smth i don't see often in ANY medium, much less video games. i need to replay the last guardian

For what it's worth, this is just a style test before I actually try anything out with it, so it's still very rough around the edges and, to be honest, pretty ugly.

anyway this movie is very dear to my heart, it's the first anime (besides Pokemon) that I remember watching. haru's house looks so much like my grandparents' used to.... and apparently a Korean animation studio contributed to this film!! so that was a really touching realization for me
