Hi thanks for getting in touch, the deadline for applications is 15th May 2026 🏳️⚧️
I can't believe the second annual symposium is nearly here.
I presented last year and it was a total delight.

Today, on International Transgender Day of Visibility, we celebrate the strength, creativity, and contributions of trans+ people within our community and beyond.
Visibility matters. Representation matters. Care matters.

We've said it before and we'll say it again: the EHRC's interim guidance is transphobic and harmful, and it must be stopped.
We will fight it in the courts in November. Will you join us?

People march at Trans+ Pride London
Yesterday was beautiful and empowering. Was also so lovely to see familiar faces amongst the 100,000 people who joined the march at Trans+ Pride London. #TransPride #London

💜 Thank you for your courage, care, and creativity.
You made this gathering sing.
We’re already dreaming our conference returning in 2026—and we’d love you to be there.
Together, we created a space where trans+ knowledge, imagination, and leadership are not only possible—they are flourishing.
Our Parallel Programme featured more than 50 contributors from across the UK, Europe, North and South America—spanning generations, disciplines, and experiences
We hope our time together offered moments of nourishment—and planted seeds of queer hope to carry us forward in our work as scholars, artists, educators, and organisers.
We know what it takes to be present in spaces like these. We honour the travel, labour, vulnerability, and heart that each of you brought.
Whether you presented, performed, facilitated, held space, asked a question, supported behind the scenes—or simply showed up with care—you helped shape something urgent, joyful, and vital.
Over 160 people joined us in person and online for a day of shared knowledge, research, performance, activism, and community. Your presence made the work feel alive.
On 8 July 2025, we gathered at Guildhall School of Music & Drama around the theme “Queer Acts of Hope”—and what emerged was nothing short of extraordinary.
As we head into #TransPride London this weekend, we want to pause and say a deep, collective thank you to everyone who made our recent #TVCE Symposium programme possible.
You are our community and together we will hold each other.
We begin tomorrow.
We begin together.
With Queer Acts of Hope, we welcome you on 8th July 2025.
You are not only welcome—you are necessary.
Whether you arrive in fatigue or fire, in softness or passion, you belong here.
Bring your questions. Bring your becoming.
Bring your breath.
This symposium listens sideways.
It offers space for contradiction, becoming, unbecoming, and bloom.
It is stitched with glitch and with grace.
We convene in resistance and in reverence.
For trans joy. For queer wonder.
For scholarship that pulses with life.
For art that heals and haunts.
For each other.
Tomorrow, we gather—not only across time zones and geographies, but across the wild, tender architectures of queer hope and trans liberation. The first annual symposium of the TVCE arrives not as an event, but as an unfolding—of voices, gestures, ruptures, and reimaginings.
