Two pumpkins already have a bunch of flowers, but they all are barren flowers.

And they (as well as all my other veggies) are still living inside. It's almost summer, but the weather is freezing🥲

Blue flag iris - long, gracefully arching lavender colored petals streaked with dramatic yellow accents. They stand in regal ranks in my rain garden.

Meadow Rose- perfect pink blossoms with yellow centers. There's masses of them growing in a big patch of wild roses

Coral Honeysuckle- hundreds of clusters of little coral colored tubular flowers, growing up and covering the back porch.

Look what started blooming! The garden is gradually filling with color. Native plants have this reputation for being understated, which these bright blooms show isn't entirely accurate.
