I had an absolute blast working on this project. The team was wonderful to work with, and the game jam format makes you really have to focus. Now I need to sleep for a full day, but absolutely something I think people should try out if it sounds like your cup of tea!

It gets even better, because no one agrees on the details of the genre
Today I played through Coldwake from @madleapgames.bsky.social. A short but fun crawl through a computer, looking for keywords to unlock the next documents, and a dash of deciphering. Great for those who love scouring logs for potential clues!

Just played [Redacted] The Safehouse from @heartbeast.bsky.social. A short game that's very much in the lineage of Her Story, but with a small 3D environment to gather context and clues in. I am glad to see more developers experimenting in this space. Check this one out if you have time!

Today we released our episode on Detective Grimoire: Secret of the Swamp. It's a charming hybrid of Point & Click Adventure with early deduction mechanics. Full of Characters, and with stand out music, this is the start of a three plus game running story!

Just wrapped up this game yesterday, and enjoyed my time on the streets of Noir Rio. I can recommend this for anyone who wants an investigative P&C adventure. I went back to get all the achievements, still missing one so far...
Playing The Posthumous Investigation from @mgaiastudio.bsky.social.
1. Flawlessly execute a sneaky plan to acquire a key.
2. Use that key to enter a previously off limits place
3. Forget to check if it's empty, get arrested by occupant
4. Laugh at myself
5. Get steam achievement
6. Laugh harder
Thank you! Even after 2 playthroughs, I still hear about things I missed.
After trying this demo last year I've been looking forward to this one! I picked it up last night and plan to play it over the long Easter weekend
Cryptic word and numeric puzzles abound here. Not a heavy Detecting game, instead focusing on other types of challenges.
Just wrapped up Puzzle Spy International from @agentepsilon.bsky.social. This was a really nice collection of puzzles that mostly made me feel smart, and occasionally I completely missed. Fortunately, there's a progressive hint system for my dense moments!

I started digging into this tonight and I'm having a blast. I really enjoy the puzzle variety. It reminds me of puzzle collection books I used to have growing up. Not my normal detecting fare, but absolutely worth checking out for anyone who thinks they might enjoy this lighthearted puzzle romp!

Today we released our episode on Return of the Obra Dinn, a foundation of today's Detecting genre. This 1-bit adventure remains one of the most striking detective experiences available, continuing to inspire developers in this space!

This was a great play on itch, and I am glad to see it available for a larger audience!
of things you thought you already knew all about. I enjoyed my time, but I did end up wanting more at the end. There's a demo for it available now, so if you are even a little bit interested, I recommend trying it out!
The third game I was looking forward to in "Mystery March" was Lost Wiki: Kozlovka from @yattytheman.bsky.social. A bite-sized wiki crawl through a the history of an Eastern European Town and surrounding area. The game did a lot with very little, requiring every deeper layers of understanding...
I did extensive play testing on this game and I am super excited excited for everyone else to take a crack at it! Investigate and analyze evidence to catch Nazis and their collaborators 25 years after the war. Keeping Mystery March going strong with this one!
...story most of all, really enjoying the wrap up. (Not gonna spoil it here). Puzzle variety was good too, which kept it interesting. I've been looking forward to this since playing a demo at least a year ago, and I am glad it's arrived in good from! A good opening to Mystery March.
Last night I finished Murder at the Birch Tree Theater (MATBTT) from @mikepettry.bsky.social who kindly gave me a copy. This Golden Idol lineage game has you following a murderous musical theater troupe across time and body count. I love the music and ongoing...

We just released the second part of our dive into PW:AA Justice for All. Lynx is still with us to dissect what this game says about it's characters and how it offers some unconventional case experiences.

While this is also getting a steam version soon, it's the best visualized Timeline Mystery I have played.
I recently finished playing Alien Morgue. It was a nice chill service simulator with extensive cross referencing, and a nice variety of endings to try out. I liked out straightforward it was to load to a specific day and try a different ending, but I wish it was a bit shorter overall.
The Red Pearls of Borneo is Coming Soon to Steam. It will still be 100% free.
Wishlist it now!

Yesterday we published out first episode on the second Ace Attorney game, PW:AA - Justice for All! We joyfully welcome back Lynx as our Japanifornia correspondent for this dive into the continued struggles in this utterly insane legal system.

I was already planning on getting the game, but I rarely see Tintin as an inspiration and that alone grabbed my attention
