yes!! i knew i wanted to tie in their butterfly motif no matter what, keep v's herald silhouette throughout all outfits, and wanted jayce to look more rustic, homely as a nod to him moving on from his position/desire with the council. ty for this thoughtful comment!

i use storyboard pro (storyboards), toonboom harmony (animation), and after effects (composite). animation is very time consuming, but worth seeing it get completed! if you ever start trying to do animation, i highly recc starting with smth very short, like 1-5sec!

giving them a happy cottage ending bc its what they deserve after all the trauma and pain and effort to reunite with each other 🥲 ty for watching my ani and reading the thread!!

thank you for watching, multiple times even!! ngl, animating the kiss felt like one of the most challenging parts, but i'm glad their affection and love for each other was properly conveyed!

its still crazy to think about how much of a successful outreach the animation got in promoting this zine too!

(8/8) once again, thank you to the mods for entrusting me and my vision for this animation, and huge thanks to PimpernelVA (yt) for composing such an ethereal and beautiful music and sound. i was blown away each time we sent each other progress updates, and our pieces really complement one another!

(7/8) representative of what i CAN do and what i CAN animate. but i have to let that go and let it be. so long as others enjoyed it, and brought people to consider purchasing from this charity zine (esp since it's for PCRF!!), then that's fine with me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

(6/8) i think i'm content with how the ani turned out? not entirely proud bc there was life stuff happening + residual feelings of burnout after recently graduating from uni + working on other ppl's projects while making this, so at times it made me feel like the quality in this ani isn't

(5/8) i have to thank @inhonoredglory.bsky.social for encouraging me to apply to this zine since i was initially on the fence for joining. making an animation is a huge time commitment! but also making one for a zine is extremely rare, so why not do it?

(4/8) color script, storyboard thumbnails, sketch for the ceremony outfits + a silly doodle i did of jayvik while animating. this entire film was produced in the span of 5 months, but technically 2 if i were to exclude the many days i took breaks since i was working on other zines too.

(3/8) main backgrounds for the different sections, these were my faves out of all of them. i also had to develop a style guide for myself and @inhonoredglory.bsky.social to maintain a consistent coloring style (ty glory for helping me color some of the bgs!)

(2/8) outfit sheets representing different sections of the zine: proposal, ceremony, honeymoon. i prioritized a more simplified art style for the sake of feasibility. i was most nervous about animating their leg braces bc it needs to have consistent volume/form during any movements like kneeling.
