Musk scorned “shady” loopholes, yet offshore tax tricks likely saved Tesla hundreds of millions When Tesla released its annual report for U.S. regulators in January, the Texas-based automaker, led by the world’s richest man, reported a federal tax bill of zero dollars for 2025.

After more than $250 billion in revenue and billions more in subsidies, Tesla has never paid taxes... that's thanks in part to tactics like pretending $18b in profits came from places like Singapore and the Netherlands

Trump: "We caught a ship yesterday that had some things on it that wasn't very nice. A gift from China perhaps, I don't know. But I was a little surprised, because I have a very good relationship and I thought I had an understanding with President Xi. But that's alright. That's the way war goes."

Tesla saved $400 million on its federal taxes by shifting billions of its U.S. profits to countries with lower tax rates.

Yes: While you paid your taxes in full, giant corporations maneuvered to pay as little as possible — and it’s all perfectly legal for them.

The system is rigged.

I'll give it a shot with something not too expensive, say a top sirloin (actually love my top sirloins. Wish I could buy a baseball cut).

That's where I struggle. Salt. I was a (low level) elite athlete, and so watched my diet closely (can you say excel?). I just can't eat *excess* salt. Tastes awful to me. I put it on table for others...

I struggle with roasts. Always good, but rarely exceptional.

I remember when (still?) chili cookoffs were huge. I make a solid, if not great, chili, but I add beans, so maybe not true chili (but healthier). Same with most of my cooking: good to very good. Sometimes exceptional. That said, I will put my Lebanese dishes up against anyone (thanks Situ!).

I was advocating for something other than a pig (for obvious reasons) back when I was a flying pig. And the dog thing never felt right with me 'cause dogs are generally nice. I was pushing for "subsidy truffle rat" with no traction. I think "Subsidy Truffle Musk" can stand on its own, going forward.

FBI Director Kash Patel sues The Atlantic for $250 million over story on alleged drinking, absences FBI Director Kash Patel filed a defamation lawsuit against The Atlantic, saying a recent story about his alleged frequent drinking and absences included "false and obviously fabricated" claims.

Kash Patel tries to save his job by emulating Trump in every way.

Spend more time targeting perceived enemies than doing your job.

Criticize the media for doing theirs.

And, when in doubt — try to cash in.
