I understand how overwhelming the job market is right now, but recruiters really shouldn't be ghosting people they've been in touch with.

It's hard to not just have an overwhelming sense of dread most days.

My favorite story to illustrate this point is I was working on a few books and we were in an internal meeting and someone asked me to pitch a story on the books' success and i had to remind them that none of them had actually gone on sale yet. lol There were early reviews but that was it.
So it is soon to be my favorite season-- in reality i use my birthday in early August as the "its officially time for autumn" kick off.

This is so so so true. I always think about how we might be living with a book, but thats like having a filter on-- there are so many people that still haven't heard of it so you just gotta keep talking about it.
They are finally starting to like each other. I mean Coco loves Cookie, but Cookie is indifferent at best usually.
