For all the years Rep Ben Cline has used fiscal responsibility as reason to stand against programs to help his constituents, it’s still not altogether surprising to see him vote to add trillions to the federal deficit. Anything to steal from the poor and give to the rich.

Net metering allows homes and businesses with solar panels to sell unused energy back to the grid. It provides a huge financial incentive to homeowners and businesses to go solar, and these cuts proposed by our state utilities would undermine Virginia's climate goals.

People want a leader who will fight for affordable childcare, care for our seniors, and access to quality healthcare for every family. I grew up here. I know what our community is up against—and I’m going to Richmond to make sure we’re not ignored.
