Go, Ben! Reconsider the shirtless approach, though.

CNN put together a montage of Trump saying as far back as March 9 that his war against Iran "is going to be finished pretty quickly," then him saying that same thing over and over for the past six weeks
You know who to take down next.
People have a lot of chutzpah! "buying thousands of dollars worth of Lego kits, replacing Lego pieces and minifigures with bags of uncooked pasta, and returning the sets to stores for refunds" 😲😲
Sorry to be overly sincere for a second, but here's why we decided to persevere through all of the bullshit and take over InfoWars.
There's just gotta be a line somewhere.
Thank you @pablo.show for letting me talk so openly about this.
I wish it were in the rear view mirror, though.
A man with a gun opened fire at the historic Teotihuacán pyramids, killing one Canadian tourist and injuring six other people at the tourist site an hour north of Mexico’s capital, the Mexican government said.

He's also far more comfortable -- politically and seemingly personally! -- with Black and other POC voters than Sanders or Buttigeig have been historically. That's potentially huge.
He needs to get reelected to the Senate first 🤞🏽 or else 2028 isn't likely to be viable!
I think you're right on both, potentially. But the antisemitism would likely come to the foreground in a Presidential race in a way Sanders didn't face in 2016.
He's also kind of Obama-esque with the soaring aspirational speeches but the centrist policy inside. For good or ill.
WTF News 🗞️
Disabled Veterans arrested today at the nation’s Capitol for protesting the Iran war.
The escalating rates of antisemitism across the political spectrum might harm his chances due to bigotry, sadly. 😔
He's too centrist policy- wise for my taste (in the primary) but of course I'd back him in a general.
I read Romeo and Juliet in the 9th grade and now red state theocratic fascists won't allow it to be taught *in college*.
It seems like the fact that this political movement -- what, 25, 30% of the country? -- has effectively convinced itself of a grand collective paranoid hallucination ... that this hallucination has reached the highest echelons & is now dictating strategy ... ought to ...
I dunno, matter?
so mastodon is experiencing a DDOS attack, a week after Bluesky DOS'd *themselves*
both of these situations suck, actually. but part of me is still tittering at the folks who were posting "masto is just fine 😎" last week
ask not for whom the bell tolls, etc.
"and the way he handled it" being another red flag, you're absolutely right.
I recognize that politics is always a matter of choosing between imperfect choices. That doesn't mean we shouldn't discuss serious issues with candidates during campaigns.
For me, I like his stated positions. But the tattoo, the Reddit posts, and the slurs are serious matters. I am somewhat surprised that Senator Warren (my Senator) has simply ignored those red flags.
“I have been very concerned about the direction of Texas universities for a significant period of time,” she said. “But it has accelerated at a rate that I think a lot of people that work at those institutions did not expect.”
"Schiller’s new home, Grinnell, is in a red state, but she said she feels more comfortable at a private institution that isn’t subject to the whims of state politicians.""
"At Binghamton, a public university in a solidly blue state, Raznik said she expects to feel “a lot safer.” The job is also a better fit for her research and teaching interests, she explained."
"They are just a few of the faculty members giving up their jobs at Texas public institutions as the systems deploy escalating censorship policies that restrict or explicitly ban any instruction, writing, research or discussion on gender identity and sexual orientation"
Texas, of course. Censorship, control of bodies and minds. Land of Christian theocratic values and fascist politics.

Post a photo or two if it pleases you!
"Smirked" is such a subjective judgment, too, to include in a supposedly objective police write-up.
I have seriously lost track of how many times we've completely obliterated Iran's military and how many times Trump has reopened the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump continues to crater. New NBC poll has his approval down to 37-63, which is 26 points underwater.
Crucially, 50% disapprove *strongly.* Has any other president had half the country strongly disapproving?

They must not have them.
