ON THE WAR WITH IRAN 40 plus days of war and no end on the horizon the rich men in power parade as virtuous, one look at the man put in charge of the so-called peace talks, one listen to him and it becomes a surprise the entire planet has not yet been blown to pieces, the men from this side of the world in charge of so-called peace talks are the most sycophantic, delirious and psychopathic men i may have ever heard utter a sentence, the amount of unyielding patriotism they possess is a threat to human beings everywhere
On the war with Iran, a poem:

i think about how to heal peoples
i think about how to unite the human being
under the banner of humanity, belonging and care and generosity
but i know nothing of how this could be made manifest
all i know is to acknowledge the human
try to have something good to show...
i have some how survived
by the kindness of strangers
and mostly staying to my own means and ends
quietly following the breath
with pointed attention
or, reading Fanon, devorah major, June Jordan...

Earlier this year, I wrote a poem to Iranians (linked below). As much propaganda is aimed at attempting to persuade citizens to personally agree to war, to side with the state; I think it is vitally important to side instead with a shared humanity.

Peace! I posted a new video where I read some poems and recite a prayer that was conjured after a listening session with the latest Jill Scott album.

Never trusted them.
You want good book recs? Listen to the psych ward rejects, listen to the punks, the goths, the queers and your local librarians

So long as we remember them, I think we can bring into question the efficacy of the meaning of this word βdeadβ

day and night the trees reach to the clouds and reveal the lesson: the power of the one living motion is not found in exertion, but in yielding
the present rising and falling of breath within the frame of the body is happening without an βIβ
Greater than any spoken word are those lines in the heart, to be known by heart, to be felt by heart, to be lived by heart
unto tracing the breath of the Divine in silent, phraseless reflection
unto the inexpressible

Listening to Dwayne Monroe is always a learning experience. I'm try to make this!
"Abolishing an agency that teargasses two-year-olds and shoots mothers in the street isn't radical. It is basic human decency."
Read this crucial essay by @victorerikray.bsky.social and @hebagowayed.bsky.social:
i cannot be fully alive
in this country
that peddles death, promotes death
chases death, denies life...

This is my understanding of the fear and silence of these wounded nights: the moon snares in the sweet spot of the throat. Everything that lives on is trapped in love.
