Happy #NationalTeaDay!
Whether I'm at home or in Westminster, I always need a proper Yorkshire brew to keep me going.

Fantastic to celebrate the landmark law change in Parliament, which will make hate crime based on someone’s disability, sexuality, or gender identify an aggravated offence.
This is pivotal to create a society where we're all treated with dignity and respect.
I’ve campaigned for the future of our steel plant since day one.
Thanks to this Labour government, we are one step closer to a bright, long-term future for steelmaking in Stocksbridge.
This week, we marked Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month in Parliament for the first time in a decade.
I’m immensely proud to be the first MP to be elected with congenital limb difference, so it was an honour to host the Limb Loss and Limb Difference Alliance!
Nigel Farage is ‘Open to anything' when it comes to the NHS - which means he isn't committed to an NHS that's free at the point of use!
Reform UK are not on your side.
While Nigel is 'considering' making you pay, Labour is busy getting the NHS back on its feet 👇
Just a small town girl, unbelievably proud every single day to represent the communities where I grew up!
Thank you to Jenny Owen, based in Sheffield, for this portrait taken in Central Lobby in Parliament, for the 40% Project - which documents all female MPs elected in 2024.
Happy Easter everyone!
Hoping people across our communities have a special day with family and friends to those celebrating here and around the world.
It’ll be an extra special family day for me as I’ll be celebrating my little brother’s birthday too! ☺️
To Christians observing Good Friday, in our communities and across our country, I wish you a very pleasant start to the Easter weekend.
Congratulations to James Vincent, from BBC Yorkshire, for winning Nations and Regions Reporter of the Year at the Royal Television Awards!
It’s been a privilege to work with James on our piece about the urgent need to improve the accessibility of Parliament for disabled people.
Great to be out on the doorstep with Cllr Craig Gamble-Pugh in Chapeltown listening to local people. Picked up various parking and speeding issues.
Thanks to all who chatted with us.
Today marks the first day of Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month!
I’m immensely proud to be the first MP to be elected with congenital limb difference.
We must enable every young person with limb difference to know they can achieve whatever they set their minds to.
At this time of conflict, we are targeting cost of living support to the households who need it the most, and investing in clean, green energy we control.
Thank you Politics North for having me on to explain what the Government is doing to help tackle rising energy costs.
I’m absolutely livid.
Nigel Farage and his Reform MPs just walked out during my question to the Prime Minister about keeping Snooker in Sheffield and getting a tram-train extension to Stocksbridge.
Farage and Reform don’t care about constituencies or communities like mine.
Only 1 in 4 disabled children say they regularly participate in sport and PE in school.
With the Winter Paralympics ending, it was great to join leaders, organisations and campaigners working to create equal access to sport and PE as with the Paralympics GB #EqualPlay campaign.
Snooker's stayin' home!
I'm delighted that thanks to £35m investment from the Labour government & Labour-led Sheffield City Council, the World Snooker Championship will remain at the Crucible in Sheffield until at least 2045!

Rachel Taylor and I worked together with the Government to amend the Crime and Policing Bill to place LGBTQ+ and Disability hate crime on an equal footing as hate crimes against people’s race and religion.
This has now been voted through the Lords and is one step closer to becoming law 👇
The small insults, the coercion, the gaslighting. Millions of people will know this as a familiar feeling.
Listen to the incredible Claire Throssell MBE talk to me about signs of coercive control on the first episode of my podcast, Tidballzy on your favourite podcast app here: www.tidballzy.com
So exciting to see Oliver Coppard unveil his vision for transport in South Yorkshire - the People's Network! 🚌🧡🚋
The change is backed by £1.5 billion of funding from our Labour Government, which will begin to restore our world-class public transport once again.
Thank you to Bridget Philipson for taking the time to discuss our ongoing work to break down barriers to opportunity for our children and young people with me.
Labour will make sure there is no class ceiling on the ambitions of young people in Britain.
A number of constituents have contacted me about the surge in heating oil costs, due to the Middle East conflict.
Today in PMQs, I asked how Keir Starmer will ensure that those most in need can access the govt's £53 million of support to bring down the cost of energy bills 👇️
Happy St Patrick's Day to everyone in Ireland, Irish people around the world and in our own communities in Penistone and Stocksbridge.
"Lá fhéile Pádraig sona daoibh go léir."
As an MP with lots of rural communities in my patch, I know how important agriculture is to the local and national economy.
It was a pleasure to speak with farmers from across our constituency of Penistone and Stocksbridge for a Farmers’ Roundtable with the CLA.
Excited to be sharing this conversation with you all tomorrow!
Episode 1 of my new podcast, Tidballzy, featuring the incredible Claire Throssell MBE, goes live tomorrow at 10am.
Best of all, you can watch it broadcast live on YouTube here: youtu.be/FybxVfDInps
We must turn the tide of public attitudes towards disabled women, sex and relationships.
Green shoots of representation are appearing on our screens, from EastEnders to Bridgerton.
This is crucial to create a society where we are treated with the dignity and respect we deserve.
Ending NHS backlogs latest:
✅ Waiting lists down by 374k since July 2024

✅ A&E waits the shortest for 4 years
After years of rising waits and declining services, patients are finally seeing real progress. But there's still more to do.
This first episode drops on Mother’s Day, March 18th. I’m looking forward to having more conversations with brilliant people, like Claire, about the future of our communities and our country.

In 2014 Claire's two sons, Jack and Paul, were killed by their father, despite her warnings that he was a danger to them.
Since then, Claire has fought to repeal the presumption of parental involvement, which allows known domestically abusive parents contact with their children.
I’m incredibly excited to announce the launch of my podcast – Tidballzy!
It's going to be the place where the brave stories and big ideas that are shaping our politics get discussed.
And who better for my first guest than Claire Throssell? Britain’s most formidable campaigner.
Yesterday I voted to repeal the presumption of contact.
This is Jack and Paul’s law. Claire Throssell MBE and I spoke to ITV Calendar about what a difference this will make to the lives of generations of children to come.
