The question of if a country could fuck itself harder than the UK did with Brexit has today been answered.
Wasn't Trump going to make the Economy Great Again:
Nice to see some countries still hold the rich and powerful accountable
Been a long time since I’ve been on one of these bad boys. From Fiji to Sierra Leone via Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Brussels. Long trip!

Time to delete Google Maps.
apnews.com/article/trum... Trump says some white South Africans are oppressed and could be resettled in the US. They say no thanks.
Seems like it’s okay for refugees to come to the US if they’re white. Sanctions on SA for redistribution of land owned and stolen by whites? Trump agenda is clear.
What is the Democratic Party actually doing? They've had the Trump playbook and he's doing exactly what he said he would. Where's the response? Completely disorganized. New leadership needed immediately.

Just returned from the #Maldives, where we worked with 15+ government agencies to advance a #datasharing roadmap for #climateaction. Building on diagnostic tool outcomes, the roadmap focuses on governance, standards, capacity, & priority use cases like coral reef monitoring & coastline change.
Thrilled to be back in the Maldives working with the government and the World Bank on #datasharing for #climateaction. Flew in during the day this time and got to see the beauty and vulnerability of these amazing islands.

So happy for Syria! I hope this brings a new era of peace, prosperity and healing for the country.
What if the data we already have could solve our biggest challenges—climate, resilience, sustainability—but the real gap isn’t in the numbers, it’s in our action?
How do we close the divide between insight and impact? Let’s build solutions that don’t just analyze the world but change it.
I didn't see this already, so I went through my follow list and made a Starter Pack for Women+ in geo & EO - very broadly.
I'm reminded how lopsided the gender divide is still in our field when I get 1 woman follower for every 10 men. It's particularly noticeable right now.

Ok, I’m loving the starter packs! This one is for women (inclusively defined) in Ocean Science.
You need more ocean 🌊 in your feed! Follow these folks.
If you would like to be added please just let me know 👋 … if I forgot you, please don’t be offended, it was an accident! go.bsky.app/7MdiLgo
Quite clear that this ^ one is going to fill up, so I’ve started a 2nd one. Please continue to follow for ocean scholars and let me know if you’d like to be added. 🌊
