I've attended one where it was a mix of dwindling numbers and a failing building that would have cost a fortune to fix. While there were many from the affected congregation there, the room was filled out by people from neighbouring churches who thankfully joined kind of in solidarity.

I once had an experience in Amsterdam where oddly there were so many herons that they were standing on sidewalks, on cars, everywhere. It was winter so maybe the warmer canals in the City attracted them.
