"Wait it's all genocide?"
"Always has been"

My edgy covid take is that there is an untold number of children who died from covid, an untold number of children who have long covid, an entire generation of children were told that their parents going back to work and adult parties were more important than being protected from a pandemic.
I'm doing so because my social anxiety became a social duty, society then reneged on it after a year or so, and now that anxiety has been validated on a level I never imagined in 2019 (and duly evolved into health anxiety and potential OCD!)
Name 4 non-person things that make your life livable.
1. Weighted blanket
2. Noise-cancelling headphones
3. Sunglasses
4. Being able to sleep in the day

I can genuinely say I go out less now than I did in April 2020 (because I didn't have access to online grocery delivery then, do now, and haven't returned - may never return - to physical socialising)
I feel similarly - the environments that already sparked sensory overload for me as an autistic person were now marked as Literally Dangerous for Everyone, and when they reopened before the virus was eradicated it was essentially over for any aspirations I had of coming out of my cage
If they were trying to "mature" on some level, doing that - or anything else - subtly is not a good move in that genre. The lizard-brain earworm power of "All The Small Things" remains their career highlight with daylight second IMO.
One of these is an outrageously theatrical song that's got infuriating earworm power made worse by just how ridiculously rangy it is
The other is by Mika
I'm sure there's plenty of sports journalists who've become all too familiar with LGA for exactly this reason...
Jekyll & Hyde is a show I wish I'd had the chance to see my university MT group perform, but I was warned in NO uncertain terms "DO NOT GO, STROBES"
Which in turn let me warn an epileptic friend... Who was going to be in the pit for it but thankfully had already pulled out for other commitments...
Fees needed to be 1c higher for a bonus reference... Sorry
At least with Wemby you'd figure that if he entered an NBA that had removed the draft for rookie free agency he'd very likely have taken a discount to go to San Antonio in the first place. But that's a reputation built quite heavily off the back of those first two lottery wins ๐
Given his "heavy metal football" I feel like he'd let the funky music do the talking youtu.be/IuPL_Bgmvvs
In this instance the material difference sometimes makes the car materially worse for normal use!
Even if I was both overly wealthy and happened to be able to drive, I'd just want a good EV with ambient lighting so I could go places in a quiet and shiny environment like my home would be ๐
The British newspaper that has a long tradition of compiling a "Rich List" has Sheeran's net worth estimated at ยฃ370m. That's right in line with A-Rod's career earnings as a player, though obviously that number doesn't translate evenly to net worth.
TLDR they're both comparably super-rich
I saw one of those recently, largely torn down and not replaced!
If not necessarily in the literal sense - though it's clear way too many of these Nazis are at least OK with that - then certainly in the metaphorical sense of wrecking the foundations of stable childhood
And that graphic looks suspiciously machine-generated...
Really, nuclear is the obvious *like-for-like* replacement for fossil fuels because of sharing the same large-central-site steady-state characteristics. Wind and solar, which don't, can fill a complementary role that grows with storage capacity.
And anyone who unapologetically occupies that lane - a clear-cut Party of Business - is probably capable of drawing some hefty donor support. I can almost read the supportive Economist/FT editorials in my head right now...
Do... Do they *want* people to defect to the Greens?
...and one that doesn't seem to really have an obvious occupant right now, with the Greens clearly left and the other big English parties clearly authoritarian.
Even if it disillusioned your wing of the party it would at least be an internally coherent position with a clear role in British politics
You'd think that even a "rightward" move for the Lib Dems could specifically be on the economic axis and paired with social liberalism. That feels like a space that makes sense to occupy just on a tactical level, a good place from which to fight for a lot of ex-Tory London commuter belt seats...
He's probably learned as much about suffering from that as he ever has from the Bible
Doesn't help in that regard that *this* Prime Minister is one of them...
Yeah I don't know either, it just feels like one possible explanation that aligns uncomfortably with the "annoying fan" angle (I suspect that in any case the heart of it this time is the Oops! All Corners perception of Arsenal vs. the increasing fluidity of City)
I also wonder how much of this is veiled racism because of Arsenal's large Black fanbase?
