It's finally starting. After spending 2024 travelling Europe visiting Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gyms I returned to Kenya with a view to support and create a women's self defense and BJJ community.

The inaugural women's self defense workshops sold out and happy doesn't even cover how I feel 🔥🔥

BJJ long game includes listening to your body when it tells you you're about one bad takedown away from actually needing to get your slightly frozen neck checked, so opt to taking 2 weeks off 💀

But we all know the itch to go to the mats never goes away that entire time.

I'm no longer galavanting across Europe, visiting gyms and just vibing with the culture. I'm now completely isolated from a plethora of high level gyms and getting after it in Kenya with the few gyms here. So the BJJ journal is coming back.
