Signage that says Canada, but the labels on the apples says USA.

Signage that says Canada, but the labels on the apples says USA.

Loblaws needs to stop doing this.

Firstly, stop stocking US produce.

Secondly, stop putting signs that say "Canada" (or for some products "Mexico") when the produce is from USA.

5 Manipulation Tactics Premier Danielle Smith Uses:

1. Victimhood Framing
She paints Alberta as a victim of Ottawa - saying billions are taken, jobs are lost, and opportunities are stolen.
> Why it's manipulative: It makes people feel attacked, even when the situation is more complex.
It turns federal policles into personal betrayals, which increases anger and fear.

2. Scapegoating the Federal Government
She blames almost every problem - economy, jobs, investment, inflation - on Ottawa,
β†’ Why it's manipulative: It simplifies complex issues and deflects attention from what her own government could be doing better. It makes one easy enemy, the feds,

3. Us vs. Them Language
She divides Canadians into good Albertans vs. out-of-touch eastern elites, freedom-loving citizens vs, interfering bureaucrats.
β†’ Why it's manipulative: It creates tribal loyalty, making people suspicious of outsiders or those who disagree.
It makes unity look like weakness and division look like a strength.

4. Emotional Extremes
She uses strong emotional words like 'attacks. crippling, 'ravaged,' and 'hostlle.
β†’ Why it's manipulative: This ramps up fear and urgency, When people are scared or angry, they stop questioning - and follow the strongest voice in the room.

5. Pretending to Be the Only Reasonable Voice She says she respects both separatists and federalists and just wants "a fair deal." She seems moderate - while planting radical ideas (like separation) as
"understandable."
β†’ Why it's manipulative: It disguises hardline rhetoric as balanced. It allows her to push extreme positions without taking full responsibility.

These tactics appeared in Danielle Smith's May 5th speech to Albertans.

Canada isn’t broken. But an electoral system that lets someone spend over $2 million for a do-over after neglecting his constituents? That’s what’s broken.

We deserve better. This is #OurHomeOurRiding in #BattleRiverCrowfoot

Misogyny Has Become the β€˜Gateway Drug’ for Violent Extremism | The Tyee I read 100 manifestos from violent attackers. There was one common thread.

β€œThese attackers may not belong to formal terrorist organizations, but their writings reveal consistent ideological patterns. Among them, one stands out: misogyny.”

A reminder: Pierre Poilievre has no security clearance.
At a time when national and global security threats are real and growing, his opinions on intelligence, defence, or foreign affairs are uninformed and irrelevant.
Leadership requires access to facts β€” not just soundbites.

Now, I've had time to calm down

As long as we refuse to buy US booze it won't matter what brown-noser Smith does
Let the traitors stock US booze
They deserve to lose money because they can't sell it

Absolutely surreal to have lived through the Napster days and watched as the titans of industry moved hell and high water to lock down any possible chance that someone's song might get swapped online without giving the studios a cut and now those same people are just like "well we gotta steal music"

With inflation coming way down, there is no reason for grocery prices to stay higher than the inflation rate -- but the Big grocers will continue to price gouge everyone #Greedflation #Canada
