it's actually kind of crazy just how happening-dense every ep of this is

nostalgia is remembering when you didn’t have to pay bills and attributing that feeling to mario
after we finished this batch I spent 10 minutes just pacing back and forth in your apartment breathing heavily because
Alexis and I cold read the general plot sequencing of Maul: Shadow Lord before the show even premiered and every new episode is moving more towards our predicted ending and we are just like

idk i think it’s probably a best case scenario at this point that trump’s national law enforcement guy is so incompetent and intoxicated that he can’t even effectively oppress us
It shocks me how many businesses still don’t seem to get that Trump’s cultural revolution did not actually happen

so in conclusion I just think it's all interesting. worldbuilding doesn't exist for its own sake outside of reddit; created worlds are storytelling tools and removing them from their original context can reveal that in interesting ways
on the other end of the scale Anbennar fascinates me as a fantasy setting designed *specifically* for supporting map game total conversions
Elder Kings translates more easily because it's a setting built for Bethesda RPGs which translates well to CK3 being part RPG; Elder Scrolls has got plenty of its own worldbuilding pitfalls but it's more fit for purpose in map game form than ASOIAF is
so it becomes a case of figuring out how to create engaging gameplay out of a world that is very static outside of the events of the book series it was made for
I've spent many an hour in CK3 AGOT and quite enjoy it but I do feel the extent to which it's a Nothing Ever Happens simulator stems directly from how thin the structure of ASOIAF's world actually is
(speaking as a fan of it)
total conversion mods for paradox games are a fascinating study in how well fantasy worldbuilding holds up outside of the story it was designed for
thank you for giving me a full body sensory flashback to sitting in a panel line at SWCA 2015 watching that featurette on my phone
fun fact when I was a toddler I lived right next to a nuclear evacuation warning siren
First day as an infrastructure engineer at Bluesky. They let me put a piece of bologna in the CD drive and nothing bad has happened so far
the biggest positive takeaway was really "man, JK Simmons is great" if I'm being honest
i watched two episodes and went "I've enjoyed a good bit of this but I can feel that this show is not interested in women and I don't want to continue"
i really wish "children are people and people are not property" was not a radical opinion but unfortunately it's the central question up for debate with much of politics
normally I would not be this confident in predictions or even *trying* to be this confident in predictions but like. I know what they are putting down. I know how to read a star war that's operating in the tragic mode of star war.
How I feel watching #maulshadowlord and seeing every character continue to move toward the inevitable conclusions I saw in the fabric of the narrative from the first episode
this cover fucks so hard
not even the one you think you're kicking, I think
oh babe you're kicking a hornet's nest with this one

the thing you are looking for is impeachment. that is the silver bullet legal mechanism for our situation. and it's entirely broken and impossible to successfully use. that's kind of the whole problem.
the reason the bar for invoking it without POTUS's consent is so ludicrously high is because it is designed specifically and only for situations where POTUS is unconscious.
even then it does not make JD POTUS any more than the Prince Regent became King before George III kicked the bucket
the mass refusal to acknowlege that the 25th process does not remove the president from office because it's designed for temporary medical incapacity is so bizarre
