The remake is so good. Love that in every Resi, shaving hours of second runs by just remembering a few puzzles of item placements, routes becoming clearer.

Resident Evil Outbreak has such an underrated soundtrack and that's my truth

One of my favourite games, a real fun time travel adventure. Short with multiple endings that all deepen the story in multiple ways, can't recommend enough if you never played. Absolute praise for writer/director Junko Kawano, she also helped create Suikoden and the underrated Time Hollow.

Absolutely does, feel like having the perspective of those games fresh with a love for them could colour your immediate feelings, rather than viewing it as it's own experience.

Many such cases of me being hyped for a game, playing the preceding or some from the series before release and being burned out when the new game finally comes out tbh, FF7 Rebirth being the last example. I can learn from you!

I get that, I definitely hit RE2 and 3 remakes hard for the Plat, but was nice to go back to REmake and RE2 remake on Steam years later to work through the fun ones.

Feel like I've left 7, 8 and 4 remake with like one or two trophies left to Plat, might be the time filler for the upcoming week!

Delayed ass reply but are the MSG Compilation movies worth watching if I've seen the series beyond just acting as a refresher?

Gonna play first on PS5 but have the Generations pack for S2 preordered because I can’t resist the allure of ports. I expect to replay Requiem on it uttering “wizardry” often in delight.

Was served up a video of Gackt performing Malice Mizer’s Au Revoir live earlier this week and haven’t stopped thinking about it. My 16 year old self has awakened from the depths and is screaming in delight.

To elaborate a bit, RE 02 over RE 96 can change with the weather, same for RE2make over RE 7. And as much as I think Zero and CV are OK games I've played several times, I think they're bad RE games from story, pacing and design. Those sandwiching REmake in release history make those issues glaring.

For some of there shortcomings, 2make and 7 deserve it. Kinda wild to see where they were with 5 and 6 sales, for the Capcom CEO to step in and say "Nah this is going to hurt the brand" and ask for the action 7 direction to be scrapped.
