If someone had told me that 10 years ago, I'd have told them to get back on their medication... (2/2)

So the Falcon 9 rocket has now tallied up 600 *landings* of its 1st stage booster. Never mind the fact that it actually launched as many times over a period of just more than 10 years since they managed to land the first one, a feat incredible enough. (1/2)
THIS is what I was wishing and waiting for - human-held VIDEO of that moment.
Picture of the week - Odesa…😢
Blue Origin's current version of the New Glenn rocket might well take the crown of the space launch vehicle with the lowest thrust-to-weight ratio at liftoff, ever.
And to think I thought Atlas 501 variants were slow to get off the pad...
Are you tired of so much winning, yet, U.S.A.?
Praise be Donald Jesus Christ. 🙏
USA died on January 6, 2020. as far as I'm concerned.
The rest is just collecting footnotes. It was nice knowing you.
Bye.
All remaining power to the defense systems!
How surprising....
NOT.
It would be funny if it wasn't sad.
Conersion therapy? Rrrrriiight...
Even the remaining living Monty Python members probably can't believe this shit is happening.
Let me get this straight (see what I did there?). Trump wanted NATO countries, who he previously accused of being cowards, to intervene and open the Hormuz strait, without even informing them of the impending attack on Iran.
And now he's enforcing a naval blockade of that same strait?
Stuff like this restores my faith in the human race, if only for a moment.
Congrats, Hungary! 🇭🇺
That's an insane turnout. Here's hoping for the best. Hungarians deserve better.
Now that I think about it a bit more, might have actually been John Spencer instead, he used to frequent our forum back in the day.
I might be wrong (it's been a while) but I think this particular shot was suggested by someone on UMSF forum at Alan Stern's own request for good images of opportunity.
Probably after 20h Central European Time, so in about 8 hrs from now.
"Freedom 250"? Who tf are you kidding? With that orange buffoon in the Oval Office, the "great" U.S. of A. has never been less free in my entire lifetime.
But keep on believing this unsubstantiated bullshit, your school system has been set up for that for a long time now already.

Just when I think the Artemis II crew captured the best images they downlink stuff like this....

Good luck tomorrow, my Hungarian neighbors.
The conclusion of pretty much the only happy, uplifting story this year...
That sailboat, though...
I've looked at pretty much all solar system objects, different probes, what have you, the whole shebang.
I maintain that (in my opinion) Earth is the most beautiful planet in our solar system.
As relevant today as it was a year ago

Indeed, you haven't.
You have outdone yourselves this time, by electing this moron for the SECOND time.
Angus: This is a president who says the only constraint on his actions is not Congress, not the courts, not international law, but, quote, “my own morality, my own mind.”
There is no morality in a man accused of being a rapist…
Mercury's topography is also more subdued due to the higher surface gravity, but compared to Luna, not in as big of an extent as it is with, say, Luna vs. Rhea.
(Also, I'm not a planetary geologist, just a goof.)
If I was presented with Artemis II closeups of the Moon and asked to guess if it's Rhea, Mercury or the Moon, I think I'd eliminate Rhea because of its low gravity causing topography to be much more pronounced. Gets tricky after that, I'd give myself an 85% chance of identifying it as Moon imagery.
