GW are well known for using the data of which independent gaming stores are doing well and using that to open their own stores nearby and then coincidentally having stock issues for those independent stores to make sure they can no longer compete

I was trying not to get my hopes up with this but after seeing the trailer it looks like they've gone for a very Thor: Ragnarok / Guardians of the Galaxy vibe for the film which should work very, very well
Pictures of a large golden coloured pin badge. Several logos on celebrating the 10th anniversary of the High Rollers DnD campaigns made to look like a crest of arms
Saw these were available during last week's stream and had to snag one. Very happy, this thing is gorgeous. Just struggling now to work out what to put it on to do it justice.

Heroic Deeds is a goal-based heroic fantasy role-playing game with an old-school aesthetic, but modern mechanics. It’s about building your legend, exploring strange ruins, and delving into dark dungeons. #ttrpg

It'll probably be Augustus as he's the most likely to make a heroic last stand and not a less than heroic run away, hide, then stab them in the back when they're not looking.
It's got to be Shadow run for me. Love the setting but the mechanics are just awful
For 5e I've thought about introducing a rule to allow PCs to spend Hit Dice to either roll a save to shake such an effect (maybe spend multiple to boost the roll) or just have them spend some to shake it. If they're out of Hit Dice then it would be taking levels of Exhaustion for the same effect.
If it has the potential to be lethal that fact should be pretty clear to the PCs and they should also have the chance to do something to avoid the encounter entirely (at a potential cost) or to use non-combat means to resolve things

I'm pretty much wearing one of our cats in my profile pic so guessing that counts lol
Have hit that tipping point where I've run out of space for more RPG books on my limited shelving and also I have (yet again) managed to pick up more games than I'll ever run......purge time methinks
Hi Brittany! Hope you find it better on this corner of the 'tinterwebs (it is much more chill here at the moment in my experience)
Merry Christmas everyone!!!
Merry Christmas!!
I mean that's one of the Candella episodes so I'm pretty much not bothered about those but even the roughly 4 hour long regular episodes can be a bit rough to keep on top of. Having 1 week a month where they do something different helps me keep on top of the stuff I'm bothered about tbh
Good luck!
...they've spent a lot of time and thought to making the entire game better.
They've made a lot of little changes across the board that tighten up a lot of stuff and standardise stuff that was a bit wonky in 'vanilla' 5e (like the leric choosing a 'sub-class' at 1st rather than 3rd level like other classes in 5e). Hard to say any one thing in particular but it feels like....
Will be pivoting to ToV once it fully releases. Really like the direction Kobold Press are going with it and past experience with backing their stuff shows me they are going to put out an outstanding product
My copy of Planescape should be here tomorrow. Hoping it's good but I'm braced for disappointment especially after Spelljammer
Yeah I agree, was meaning it's a bit of an inherent flaw in the way power creep is structured in a lot of games
....pub to mix it up. If significant time passes between levels it should be easier to get the players in the mindset that their characters have grown and have greater responsibilities so situations like mixing it up with a bunch of towns guards should be beneath them
I think the main issue is the speed with which PCs advance in power. They start out as low level scrubs to who a scrap in the local pub is serious business but then in the space of a few weeks they suddenly have the power to challenge god's but they're still in the mindset of heading to the local...
That is stunning. Your husband is crazy talented!
