I hear you. That reasonable standard seems to be impossible for these apps to pin down.
I think it's sexualized. It's not explicit but I have to believe that the bikini clad women referred to in the image as "perks" were intended to be sexually enticing. One doesn't put on a bikini and heels to go swimming, and it's an ad for a film series that is full of sexual content and eye candy.
A new update video! If I look tired, it is because I am!
Thanks again participating!
@remedygames.com @rockstargames.com @samlakewrites.bsky.social maybe the budget for the remake could include getting a patch for the originals? It only seems right, especially since they are still being sold on Steam.
The tutorials are just me synthesizing info that is already out there. Maybe someone else knows more and could help to make a more comprehensive tutorial? Maybe there’s a chance for a fan patch? Feels like the Remedy and Rockstar fan communities would have a few programmers…
I have made a few tutorials for getting Max Payne to run on modern computers. They work for a lot of folks, but just as many report issues. It’s unfair to the legacy of this game and all who worked on it to let it fall into disrepair like this, but I don’t know how to help.
Picked up PRAGMATA today. Happy to report that I think it is brilliant. Lots of Capcom goodness in there. I think it does a great job of recontextualizing and remixing lots of familiar tropes into something that is engaging and challenging in a really fun and welcoming way.
This took nearly a full year to put together. I am very grateful to everyone who contributed and helped to push this thing along!
...over the proceeding months, I collaborated with Jordan Freeman over at ZOOM Platform to conduct nearly twenty additional interviews, with the result being a 3.5-hour long celebration of Ed Logg and his games.
Last year, I had the opportunity to interview Ed Logg, the programmer behind games like Asteroids, Centipede, Gauntlet, and many more. That interview was originally intended to be part of a straightforward career retrospective. However...
Local thrift shop find!
After ten years or more I have finally upgraded to the sane and rational case for season six
7:30 pm EST, Jordan returns to the village! The evil village! The RESIDENT EVIL VILLAGE!
This was made in collaboration with Jordan Freeman over at @zoom-platform.com, who coordinated interviews, helped to secure footage, and so much more. A real labor of love, trying to do our part to preserve some gaming history.
I spent a full year working on this video and it is finally done! It’ll premiere on Friday at 5pm EST! Three hours, interviews with nearly twenty different people discussing over thirty years worth of games! I learned a lot!

Pretty solid thrifting haul. I had no idea there was a Belly 2, but it turned out to be an unrelated movie that just had the Belly name slapped onto it. The Get Down On It VHS is still sealed, but I'll be cracking it open and transferring it soon!
At one point in time, yes! But things are much better now
I haven’t talked about my game much lately, but things are going well. Lots of cool little things coming together! My main priorities right now are getting a playtest build done for June and to just make as much money as I can in the meantime to fund the rest of development
Looking at conceptual drawings of early Goldust designs. Wild to see this one that appears to be a Ric Flair parody! Not too far from his actual final design, but the logo and haircut look like an intentional dig at Flair.
I hit several points where I knew exactly what to do, but I just wasn’t clicking on the exact tiny spot that the game intended me to click on. If this is an issue in the second level, I can only imagine how the next eleven will go.
This is really just my own preference, but I don’t think I’ve ever played a mystery/detective game that was elevated by enemy encounters (stealth or combat), and in some cases like SOMA or Murdered: Soul Suspect, it is widely advised to take steps to disable them altogether!
Started playing Sanitarium this week. I've always been curious about it! So far, it delivers in writing, atmosphere, and overall style, but as with many games like it, I can't stand the pixel hunting or combat scenarios.
Exciting!
Okay, someone has, but it doesn't hit as hard as it could. Maybe I'll give it a go
Has anyone mashed this up with Good Life by Inner City?

Figured out how to capture my Wii, so I'm giving No More Heroes a proper playthrough for the first time. I love it! There are some very apparent flaws, but they are heavily outweighed by the positives! Suda51 games are as compelling as the RCU for me, so many fun echoes to find.
