I will always say something older and inexpensive 😊 mid to late 2000s DSLRs are easy to get hold of, simple to learn with, and still versatile.

Some of my most popular photographs have been with my Nikon D40 (cost £15) and 35mm f1.8 DX (£60ish)

But the best camera is the one you like!

It's funny how much of an effect the simple act of carrying a camera can have on your day at a theme park.

It's a great conversation starter, for example, as people will often come up to you to ask questions, advice, etc. Even staff!

Plus, it's great practise.

I have to say... I had my doubts about the Phalanx earlier this year, what with all the rumours around their treatment of the Nemesis asset, but the Expo reassured me that she's in good hands.
