In the Classical tradition, Thalia was known as one of the nine Muses. As a
patron of comedy and pastoral poetry, sculptures often depict her carrying a comic mask, shepherds' crook and with a wreath of #ivy around her head.

On this day, 3rd March, 1878, the poet Edward Thomas was born.
If I ever have a daughter, this is the song that I would probably play countless times to her. (So good!)

This video was taken looking through my kitchen window so is a little hazy. Lovely to see the woodpecker in my garden.

& sky at evening all movement - some slurryspreading (too soon after rain) brings shoals of gulls describing half a globe, a small hemisphere of concentration - a red kite moves distantly in its own orbit, a section of sky you hope clears by dusk that you may see an alignment of planets
afternoon thinking about the weirdness of wetlands - not-land, not-water - not-fresh, not-all-salt - the conditional creeks, territory of the more-than-human, aiming binoculars out onto quicksilver & dark ochre, barnacles & deer secure only your gaze can trespass undetected
I am sure many, many glasses will be raised, thoughts will be with you and fond memories of Heather will dwell in many hearts. Than you for letting us know, Heather will be so much missed by so many people..
I don't know how to say this, but with great sadness and a very heavy heart it is Heather's Funeral tomorrow, Tuesday 4th March, Heather would want you all to raise a large glass of something strong to celebrate her life. x
A red-wing blackbird, backlit by the sun, perches atop a cattail and ruffles its red shoulders, opens it’s beak in morning song as wisps of it’s breath curl around it in the cool morning air.
The red-wing blackbirds are calling in spring, and won’t take “no” for an answer.

I have never forgotten the experience of seeing it on a visit to the gallery. I was wandering around as you do. and suddenly it was there, this numinous light that permeated the room. I was lucky to be alone that day, the gallery being quiet. I didn't leave that room for quite a while.
I agree.Perhaps these are characteristics common to the movement. I expect you have realised by now that both the music & art I love,I love for the indefinable chord they touch deep in me. It is the story that I perceive this work tells, that binds me in its spell, its power, the ambiguity of it.
