I had to look up the meaning of that term - thank you! It does have a nice rhythm to it. :)

Ted Lasso is a delight
That gray is so stark! It's infuriating when manufacturers change things without input from their customers. Art surfaces are so important, and even little changes can make them unusable. I remember when I found the perfect watercolor paper and they changed the sizing, and I couldn't use it anymore.
I love the design of this, with the & being an e for that perfect Awebo spelling!
Thank you! I'm still learning a lot about identifying stones, and I get specific agates and jaspers mixed up a lot. Many of these small cabochons I got in batches of 'mystery cabs' so I have to ID them myself!

Sneak peek at some more leather stone wing barrettes being painted!
Great news!!!
Thank you! I used a reference of an actual apple blossom branch in my yard and tried keeping everything else very soft. Gouache is great for that!
A vibrant pink bird perched in pink apple blossoms with a soft pink and blue background.
Apple Blossom Birdflower. I used to paint lots of birdflowers, and the vibrant pink blooms in my yard inspired me to paint this one.
Gouache on watercolor paper, 9X13 inches.

I am!
It’s a running gag with Jenn and I that anywhere we go in the US, no matter where it is, we always see a robin.
Usually we see it and go “oh what’s that bird??” Thinking it’s something cool.
Nope, just a robin.

Work in progress for an upcoming Every Day Original painting! Spring has sprung and there are flowers everywhere!
5/6 the semester of biology was all about cells and microscopic stuff and then the very last week, as if the teacher finally remembered about vertebrates, we'd rush through mammals and birds and reptiles. 😭
What a great photo! The earrings/your hair/the color of the top all go together so well!
Yes, the wings are three layers of leather, painted with acrylics :D And I can send you a DM with payment details if you're interested!
Of course! :)
I can certainly make custom ones! I have lots of different types of stones (including more labradorite), so there's lots of options :)
Oh it would!
This really is a flashy stone!
I really wanted to make something beautiful with this labradorite. It’s available for $80 if it catches your eye!

Labradorite Wings Barrette. This is a BIG barrette! A little over 7 inches wide, with a very flashy labradorite stone.
There's a video in the comments below showing more angles of the stone!
I know you mean honked at by a car horn but my first thought was by a goose and I giggled.
There's no way his heart is doing well. It's cosmically unfair that good people have their heart fail too young and this shriveled yam is somehow still kicking.

Barrettes with pretty stones! This one has a beautiful Labradorite cabochon I picked up at the Denver Gem and Mineral show a few years ago with a great rainbow flash. Next step is painting!
I have so many pretty cabochons and I'll be making more!
That means a lot to me! :) Thank you.
