Today is the 76th birthday of the late great Tanith Lee, my favorite author. She wrote unique sword and sorcery, sensuous dark fantasy, unsettling Gothic horror, strange sci-fi, and even whimsical children's books.
One of the greats!

Right now I'm reading Twilight of the Gods by Scott Oden, which is the second book in a sword and sorcery series with an orc anti-hero!

Reading the first one (A Gathering of Ravens) pulled me out of a literal year-long reading earlier this year. I literally had not finished a book until that one.

I broke down and put a request on the first Wheel of Time book at the library. I was never interested in these books before but I freaking LOVE the show. The nerd rage about it suggests I may be disappointed but WE SHALL SEE.
