this was all fine and dandy until around 13-14 when the twins grew into their more humanoid forms. zander felt... wrong (he was born a girl btw) and this caused him to act out much more than usual. skipped out on his studies, snapped back at his parents, etc. here's a visual age timeline for them

so zander has a twin sister named seychelles (he calls her chel and so do I) and they grew up in a higher status part of inkopolis. zander was a very bright kid and excelled in school.. chel was pretty normal, but thier family was okay with having one golden child so she flew under the radar LOL
