is just ep 1 so far, normally it falls off further in, but also normally it doesnt get this much better for a season 2, that came out so soon after.
and like it still has tons of slide show moments, but I consume enough fantasy slop for that not to bother me too muchhh, hope it keeps gettin bettr ;;
SOMEHOW after the disaster season 1, Tbate got a season 2 (I assume they just had signed for multiple seasons)HOWEVER the animation went from like a genuine 2/10 to like a 5/10, Which look NOT AMAZIN, but for legit my fav manwha to get such a HORRID adaptation killed me, so this makes me a lil happy
passed 7k hours in blender on steam, not all my hours, but close to it x3
I wish I had a counter for in unity time toooooooo
(As a side note layering live and baked lighting is by no means free, and definitely has its own cost, soooo who’s to say, maybe it would suck and barely work x3)
The ability for anyone to create or place stuff in the game, it’s just adding an extra optional step for greater optimisation and vibes!!! And again ur not limited to one or the other, u can mix them!
Instances in unity can be shared with people in game, taking what people create in the game, then baking with proper lighting and then everyone seeing the update with proper pretty light bounces and vibes would be 100x nicer still in my opinion. sure it’s an extra step but it’s not getting rid of…
That’s a fair critique, however if your base map looked beautiful with awesome baked lighting and nice baked played lighting tech, u could then stack live lights ontop of it, you could get a lot more in the scene for a lot less cost, also as u showed in the video u linked
Im not toooo sure what ur asking, but yeah static lights in a scene that don’t move, can be baked into a texture on stuff so that they are not even in the scene during runtime
I seeeeee, excited for it, been wanting to properly port a world or two over for a long ass time ^^ I’m a big baked lighting guy :p can’t go without it
All this to say, they both have there purposes in gaming and creation! However most contents demand baked lighting
Is mostly baked lighting! It’s a good solid tech, that shows no sign of going anywhere for the sake of live lighting anytime soon!

By a single light source (the sun) deferred lighting certainly helps. But again only with the speed and cost, not the visual fidelity. Matching the visual fidelity of baked with live lighting is rare, and not particularly achievable for vr games as it stands! Even half life alex…
Especially is impossible. Whilst I have seen some amazing beautiful worlds built in resonite the few times I have played the large majority would look better with baked! The only common scene which is an exception to this is forest or nature scenes. But that’s because they are unique for being lit…
Ambient occlusion, proper shadows, translucent or transparent materials, complex light sources, or even simple ones such area lights, all aren’t possible with default live lighting, simply put it’s worse because it’s expensive, and matching the quality of baked with live lighting tools in vr….
Real-time doesn’t look better, unless your expending a lot of very expensive tools, and resources to it, or building an engine specifically for it, being able to match the quality and speed of real time to baked in unity is just simply not possible.

Legit see so much cool shit from them always, but not being able to use light mapping is genuinely so cooked to me lmao, all your environments being stuck to live lighting is some assss
