Zuzu was separated from her teacher, Anna Natsumi, due to certain circumstances.

To this day, no other game has matched the atmosphere of Super Metroid. Prime was closest, but Super Metroid's slow synth dirges, still unmatched in 2D weather sounds/effects, is really unmatched.

Just the title screen alone has the same emotional atmosphere as the LOTR films.

The image is a vertical photo showing Zuzu in three phases of her life. The first is Zuzu wearing her red hoodie from when she escaped from her home at the start of her adventure. She looks scared and is holding a staff that looks more like a small twig. The second Zuzu is smiling looking up at her brand new staff, a long staff with the head shaped like a ladybug. This was a present she received from one of her teachers and best friends. Then, the third Zuzu is her current phase, she is wearing her two yellow gauntlets and facing forward with the look of someone who is ready to fight.

Her first staff didn't have a name. (I never thought of one)
Her second staff was called Adenium Harenae Lee before it was destroyed.
And then her current gauntlets are Nina and Lee, named after both of her teachers.
