I tapped this button so many times and still get force fed shorts. This is exactly the bullshit a mutable system layer would fix.

Fairly sure they only fit the wrong way and to make a regular one fit a LP slot I would have to cut a groove in the plastic shell part. Hmm 🤔

All this faff because someone at some point wanted to save 2mm of height.

Blocked on waiting for SlimSAS SFF-8654 to SFF-8654LP (Low Profile) 8i cables from China. Seems Thai customs is jammed. Got regular non LP cables and they friction fit one way but unsure if it’s correct way or not. Not the kind of thing you can ask AI about.

Chrome platform apps chrome.platform.socket had ability to run tcp server sockets so used that. These days direct socket api in IWA is replacement though I think maybe just client sockets not server. Neither likely helpful in your case but just sharing the pain of trying to rely on service workers.

Ran into this issue and in the end resorted to using local web server (running in browser) to serve the initial html file just to ensure service worker correctly started every time. Without it it was never reliable enough

Gonna head to Samui today for a date with Thai customs. One item I’ve got the magic green slip, the other no paperwork and it’s been months so 50/50 if it’s even still there. We shall see

For a brief moment last night (after I had rebuilt the system again) all slimsas riser cables were operating at full gen4 speed without any errors. I even rebooted a few times to check I wasn’t tripping. Alas this morning we were back to occasional err reported. Think I’ll have to settle for gen3 x8
