Could make an interesting project to see if spatial statis methods could help with this...

This is interesting- I tried to find the overlap, but didn't manage. But I had been sure it is these two images.
Spatial statistician here- the two images are also structurally very similar. I wonder if similar frauds could be detected by spatial summary characteristics...

Yes, and the signs float in the air, right? And there is more snow on the edge of the sign then on anything else it seems...

Being a Human Being
Tom Leonard

for Mordechai Vanunu

not to be complicit
not to accept everyone else is silent it must be alright

not to keep one’s mouth shut to hold onto one’s job
not to accept public language as cover and decoy

not to put friends and family before the rest of the world
not to say I am wrong when you know the government is wrong

not to be just a bought behaviour pattern
to accept the moment and fact of choice

I am a human being
and I exist

a human being
and a citizen of the world

responsible to that world
– and responsible for that world

I was in Paris very recently- and have been many times over the years- it is such a huge difference!

Same thing here in Portland.... zero valid need. Not a war zone, nothing is burning, no looting, ... all made up lies by trump. Portland is beautiful and no need for military or national guard. Nope!

Yep, I know exactly what you mean- had the same experience.
Thanks for posting!

Iain Banks: the final interview Iain Banks died last Sunday, just before the publication of his final novel The Quarry. Last month he talked to Stuart Kelly about writing, politics and all the things still left to do . . .

“I mean, your society’s broken, so who should we blame? Should we blame the rich, powerful people who caused it? No let’s blame the people with no power & no money & these immigrants who don’t even have the vote, yeah it must be their fucking fault.”

Is this a regular event? I have always wanted to pick up BSL, but don't quite know where to start, so sort this might be a good way to get some advice.

For a moment I thoughts it's a belated April's Fools joke. Or perhaps there is a serious hidden meaning? Given the colour...?

This is super interesting- and shocking!
I work on spatial statistics (spatial point processes) - basically statistical ways of describing space usage. Would be very interested in a chat about this work.
