They’re in power on Fife Council due to the support of 2 Reform councillors, without whose support the Labour/LibDem/Tory coalition would collapse and the SNP on an equal footing with 35 councillors would take over the running of the council, which was probably the voters intention!
But what no Scottish Government has had, neither SNP nor Labour, is access to a central bank. It can't issue bonds, it can't issue QE instructions. And so a country of over 5 million survives on a budget equivalent to a large local authority, rather than a nation.
