In the quiet of the night I feel at peace with the collapsing sky because I did all I could to stop it from happening.

Never a need to ask the stars once the walls succumb to the fires.

The delirious density in losing what you know you can never go back to.

It would have been what it could still be.

A beautiful torment, an aching anguish, and eyes that hold the secrets of the earth.

The breathless symphony as my thumb slowly glides from her cheek to her lips.

Owning a piece of my heart gets more expensive each time it is back on the market.

The drowning that would save me.

Who do I blame now?
Secrets spill like melting snow,
An empty heart waits

I can be spellbound
and simultaneously free,

yet doubly
wrong.

Does it please you?
This world, I mean.

I revel in the wind,
as if I could bear
the lightness of flight.

Yet, the ground quakes
beneath, as I do,

unpredictably
every time I am called
another,

even in this
secret poem.

the blood rush
coloring your cheeks
capturing your breath
filling you with heat

the slow curve of your lips
at my hedonistic revelation
lascivious grip
igniting your passion

Something real
Desperate to know

In your voice.

Know the depth of truth

i drown in the azure depths
lost to the allure of a voice
caring not about my safety
i let myself be drawn closer

because if i die let it be with
a smile on my lips and the
gentle chime of cruel laughter
of a siren lingering in my ears

with the rolling hills of the
emerald isle my final sight

Not everyone will understand your words.

it won’t come easily
we can just take our time
and you’ll find comfort in me

all of the poems that I almost wrote
were the ones I wanted you to read the most

And if tomorrow brings the rain, I'll love you just the same
