haven't been watching the stream, i just heard about this, but this is something i've thought for awhile and i still stand by. this is stupid
headcanons make up a large part of the community. either it's canon or it's not. i just don't see the point in blatantly pandering to a specific group within your fanbase when you could just not say anything and it would harm no one
i don't know if im overreacting but i genuinely believe that catering to one specific ship that isn't even canon for the sake of appeasing the people who do like it is fucking stupid. you're just alienating people who enjoy different ships including those characters.
