How many of you #Mets fans out there like me are alternatively sad and angry that our baseball team absolutely sucks right now and is showing absolutely no signs of improving in any tangible way anytime in the near future?

'Bout the #Mets... it's like the lyrics to the old folk song goes..."It's getting to the point/where I'm no fun anymore."
#Mets fans, are any of you actually surprised by the outcome of today's game? One run is rarely ever enough to win one. And using seven pitchers in a one-run, mid-April game is not a good sign for the remaining five months of the season. #meetthemess #11straightlossesandcounting
#Mets must've read my post about refusing to watch a David Peterson outing today -- Tobias Myers gets the ball instead. Peterson has been demoted to the 'pen. Not great when two rotation arms (Manaea and Peterson) have been demoted, a third (Senga) should be, and two of those have bloated contracts.
Making an executive decision: I'll be bingeing Netflix's riveting drama, "House of Guinness" tomorrow rather than suffer through another David Peterson start backed by a flaccid lineup.
Not dissing Mendy, but Buck Showalter never should've been let go.
Forget what I've said regarding the #Mets and how it's a long season. It ALREADY is a long season and we're only in April. We have five more months of excruciating baseball pain to deal with.
Just as I was pushing through my last post, it's now 4-1 Cubs. I have zero confidence in us coming back in this one, which will mean 10 straight losses. It's beginning to feel a lot like 1982.
If these first 21 games are any kind of harbinger, it's gonna be a long, brutal year in Metsland. Peralta doesn't look like he's gonna be more than a 5+ inning starter and outside of Opening Day, we don't score any runs for him. I have absolutely no confidence we'll win this game.
Hereโs the thing, though: Are we really THAT talented? ๐ค On paper, maybe, but baseball is played on grass, not paper.
In MLB, the leader of a team is called a manager, not a head coach.

Well, this one's over early. Looking at nine straight losses for #Mets
Yes, it'll pass, but it just seems right now that there's no light at the end of the tunnel.
This is absolutely, positively one of the most depressing weeks of #Mets baseball I can ever remember. And I've been a fan for 50+ years. I turned it off after the grand slam. There's only so much suffering a #Mets fan can endure.
As you said, itโs April 14. Way too early to write off the rest of this long season.

Absolutely ๐ฉ series for #Mets. Absolutely ๐ฉ last five games. Hope we can recover while playing in my backyard this week. Hopefully going Wednesday night
That post didn't age well.
WTF. Athletics making the #Mets look like rank amateurs the last two days.

Mendy says he's not worried about David Peterson or Sean Manaea. I didn't see today's game, but the results so far suggest otherwise about the pitchers. What did you folks who watched today's game notice about their performances?
Booing opposition players is fine, as long as there's nothing personal, or anything racist, sexist, homophobic, etc. It's an interesting way to show respect for a player's prowess. But booing your own, when they're giving their best effort? That's low, mean-spirited, and totally unhelpful.
These are now the sounds those morons claiming to be #Mets fans who booed Bo Bichette at home last week, are making now:
It's spoiled fans acting entitled AF. They should be Yankees or Phillies fans. And their petulance should deeply embarrass them.
I'm ashamed that some of our fellow #Mets fans would boo Bo Bichette at all -- let alone after THREE games. The only circumstance under which booing one of our own players should be permissible is if they're purposely not giving their best effort. Shame on those fans -- go cheer for the Yankees.

Couldn't possibly have scripted a better day. My wife and I started in Donegal, Ireland, drove to Derry, took a photo in front of the "Derry Girls" mural, drove to the spectacular Giant's Causeway UNESCO World Heritage Site, had a great Vietnamese dinner, then watched Luis Robert Jr's #Mets walkoff!
