I can officially legally drive again in Ecuador. Got my TX license transferred and issues today. In TX I had a type C license, for normal cars and trucks. It should be a type B here but the guy entered in type C, a commercial license for buses up to 25 passengers.

If that’s true, they don’t understand the politics here.

People have no idea how time consuming and expensive it is. Doing it all yourself is very confusing and stressful. Nearly $2k just in costs to the US govt alone. Most lawyers are $5k assuming a basic case. Anything extra start adding $2k or more. Make a mistake? Start over and pay all over again.
