The most fun part about Letterboxd is having the most diametrically opposite things listed one after the other on your watch history.

am i only one who feels exhausted by people still using the descriptor "biblically accurate" for freaky ethereal designs of things traditionally not depicted as weird

it's become so broad and oversaturated in the last couple years that it's turned into another tired internet buzzword like "liminal"

The X-Files has most of these but I'm frankly relieved to say there's no IRA episode.

To that effect, I watched the original Solaris the other week, and that's subtitled so I couldn't even get distracted by my phone. Maybe my attention span hasn't been completely ruined by the internet after all.

3 hours is a longer movie but it's not exceptionally long. If I'm watching an old school 4 hour epic with an intermission halfway through I might watch it in two sittings but I have no problem getting through a 3 hour movie so long as I'm actually enjoying it.

The first professional videotape recorder was introduced 70 years ago today.

The Ampex VR-1000 was demo’ed at the NAB Convention in Chicago on 4/14/56.

It sold for $45,000 ($550,000 today) and orders came so fast, the sales staff was writing them on "cocktail napkins.” #TVSky #Tech #PhysicalMedia

I'm 30 and I grew up with the show because my mom, who grew up with it when it was on / recent, was getting the DVDs when they were first coming out in the 2000s.

Also, can you teach me to make a lie detector out of coconuts?

What's actually the loudest sound ever in video games are the footstep sound effects in anything released from the late 90s through the early 2000s.
