I appreciate this and your offer. It's a rare thing to see someone willing to share sources. Are you a city planner or engineer?

I lived there for many years, traffic is terrible and the area has world class transportation choices. I worry that other cities will try to follow suit before being able to offer similar service, as a means to fill coffers.
I guess that we do. And the City of New York has. I desire a more equitable system, that's it. I can't change that on social media but I appreciate your honest engagement instead of just calling me a dolt or worse.
And parks and a hundred other things. However I am perplexed on how we are all okay with it or even celebrate it.
I'm sorry that makes no sense to me. These are fees, a type of tax. I don't see how this is related to housing and food. Can you please explain your reasoning?
I wish I could come up with some great answer here. I can't.
I do feel that fees disproportionately affect lower and middle income groups and for some reason people accept this.
I can see that 'poor' was the wrong choice. Those groups are definitely a huge problem and I feel that public Transit is fantastic in that area. However I'm not convinced that this is a fee that will keep Ubers away. I do feel that any toll or fee disproportionately affects lower income groups
I did. You duck.
Yeah keeping pooret people off the streets works great
Now, this is too accurate 👍
The final Calvin and Hobbes cartoon. The entire page is mostly white as they're in the winter snow. The pair is walking with a sledge, nicely duffled in in scarves, hats, gloves. Calvin delightedly exclaims 'wow, it really snowed las night! Isn't it wonderful?'. Hobbes follows up with 'Everything familiar has disappeared! The world looks brand-new!' -- A new year... a fresh, clean start!' adds Calvin. As they look over the landscape, Hobbes observes 'it's like having a big white sheet of paper to draw on!' -- 'A day full of possibilities!' Calvin affirms. They get ready on their sledge and Calvin tells his friend 'it's a magical world, Hobbes, ol' buddy... let's go exploring!', and the pair sledges off into the wintery landscape.
31 December 1995. Still the perfect goodbye.
Hey. I wonder where Cade Klubnick grew up.
When they talk about privatizing Veterans’ care and Medicare, they mean allowing companies to provide healthcare for a profit.
But how do companies make those profits? By *denying* care to many who need it.
Don’t get fooled by the “privatization” label. It means “for profit” and YOU are the cost.
Doing the same thing for the same reasons . Seems doubtful that it'll take very long for these tariffs to be implemented. Maybe some companies will have stock that they can run on for a bit or, they could take advantage of the "tariff" to pad profits until that stock is depleted.

Are these rompers. Perfect for a relaxing day at the beach and the court.
I cannot believe that in 2024 there are companies which require use of my personal phone for business functions. Customer relations and sales no less. Seems exploitative.

Looks like you're beginning a tour of America's pizzas from home. NY, Detroit is Connecticut on the menu?
I really like the thought of a Notre Dame - Indiana playoff game.
A very welcome bit of news early into the bye week.
Terrific piece summarizing a recent report: Every dollar of NIH research funding doubles in economic returns

Green Wave @ Navy looks to be the most enjoyable this morning and could mean something if Boise State stumbles.
Next would be tOSU (conference), Utes/Buffs (9am Pac12 game).
Feels like I've been waiting for this moment forever. So happy it's here.
