Exactly, I think like the time period I read it was crazy so was definitely looking for something a little lighter (even though it does get darker later in the book). Anything felt light after reading When Crack was King 😵‍💫

I really liked it! Very creative and whimsical. The ending was wrapped up a little too nicely, but I didn’t mind.

I LOVED this book. I loved how the fantasy aspects and the history of Harlem are intertwined. I’m not usually a fan of insta love, but this drew me in. The chemistry between the leads was electric. If the pacing was a bit faster in the beginning, this would be a 5-star read for me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 #booksky
