No disagreement! Was just trying to see if it was reported.
Did they report the driver was going 60? I just watched the news report and the officer answering questions says the driver was 'going the speed they were supposed to be going.'
E-Bikes are everywhere and make hills meaningless. Also cargo e-bikes are incredibly popular in Seattle for kid drop offs - long line at every preschool and elementary school.
Biking is surging. SDOT had the highest bike trip count ever in 2025, beating a pre covid record from 2019, and Q1 this year is up 29% from last year, so we are on pace to smash the record.
All this to say: newspapers should market this to parents! No one wants to get the cell phones, so many kids are trying to find sports scores in the morning, and kids should start having access to current events. We love it!
Also realized that our kids wouldn’t have any way to keep up with current events since we don’t watch news on tv and all news is personalized on phones now and we weren’t getting a cell phone do a 7 year old. He’s 9 now and he’s started reading the front page articles.
We subscribed to the SeattleTimes because our 7 year old son wouldn’t stop asking us to look up sports scores in the morning, and he got hooked on comics.
And then: Infrastructure Week!
I mean, this is a forecast. The Market, capital ‘M’ actually did quite well during Biden’s term (+55%).
The financial press and business comms, on the other hand…
Do we know if it’s large amounts? Does the company pay more for the used oil than the price of virgin oil?
I only saw the short clip, but it seems like they proved it’s possible to ‘scam’ them, but why would anyone if it’s not profitable? Was there more in the full episode?
My thoughts exactly. They have proven it is theoretically possible to ‘scam’ Neste by providing a non used oil, but I am not sure they have proven there is actually widespread fraud (and obviously it’s not much of a scam if the scammers are losing money each time they do it).
Fried chicken and fries piled inside a ferry boat bowl with two dipping sauces on the ends of the boat.
Clicked through the whole slideshow excited to see the new Mariners ferry boat bowl but it was somehow not included.
Agreed! Assuming the original post meant the 'effect' was players won't sign, that post and yours highlighted why it might not matter: high end players have more freedom but will make so much it diminishes as a factor; low end players have less freedom and will often have to prioritize other factors
I think the catch-22 for players there is that in the $1-$10M range, you have a lot less options/leverage. JSN could have gone anywhere, but he can make enough to not really matter. If you make $1M, you aren't thinking about taxes, you're thinking about staying in the league.
That's the old models bro. Trust me. It's the old models. The new models are so good bro. They are so good. Every month it's like they get so much better bro. You don't even know.
Yes, but bike infrastructure in specifically Seattle has gotten really really good in the past 5-10 years. It’s crazy. Lots and lots of parents in e-bikes taking kids to school, etc. 66% is a shocking number, but not surprised it’s in Seattle.
Wow love Korean movies, haven’t gotten into shows yet.
Drop some favorites please!
Veteran Jeff Green, member of the Brooklyn Nets, in the NY Post article: "I think it’s just something that happens throughout basketball."
But did the media make it a whole thing, as the media does? Yes, of course.
I promise you I watched every second, ha. Just watch the play! Giannis is watching the ball the entire play, not Irving, and getting in position for a routine rebound.
The league has NEVER favored the Bucks. The narrative is 'he should leave' the moment he became a star. NBA has never had a 'small market' narrative in their history. This is a wild take.
I mean, you certainly could call a flagrant on the Irving injury play in the same way they call it on 3s when a defender gets under a shooter, but hard to say the play was dirty or intentional from Giannis. 2021 Bucks played bully ball for sure, but agree to disagree that that was cheating or dirty.
Cheated his way to a ring?
Here’s one but several reports out now (Reuters, Bloomberg, etc) and Indian government has made some disparaging statements: newrepublic.com/post/207429/...
The ship was unarmed coming back from a drill the US took part in, so we knew it was unarmed. That is not just ‘war is evil,’ that is evil evil.
And as you know they are about to have EVs with a 600+ mile range. But we’ll have more data centers, I guess. 😭😭😭
Bouy was in line with all the players at the end of the game and Joey gave everyone a hug and a ‘fuck yeah,’ but when it was Bouy’s turn…silence. Joey didn’t give him a ‘fuck yeah,’ haha.
Except silence to Bouy. 😢
Well some teams (namely my Kraken) had the foresight to not even have a player good enough to make USA hockey's Olympic team, making them even more perfect and beautiful than the Avs.
Obviously still earthquake risk, but a lot of the doom in that article was about the tsunami that comes after, which would cause more destruction than the earthquake itself.
