Using less salt, applying it smarter, and keeping snow piles out of storm drains makes a real difference. When snow melts, everything on it flows into our ponds and coastal waters—and on the Cape, that matters.
King tides + winter storms can cause coastal flooding on the Cape, even on clear days. Plan ahead, avoid saltwater roads, and remember: marshes and dunes are natural buffers that protect our communities.
Through a partnership with Cape Light Compact and Housing Assistance, income-eligible homeowners on Cape Cod and the Islands can get 100% covered energy-efficiency upgrades—lower bills, healthier homes, and real climate impact.
