Haha, thanks so much! I've been having a lot of fun with them!
My illustration for The Crystal Crypt, one of the Philip K. Dick stories that's landed in the public domain
Really brilliant! I don't often come across games that feel like they're presenting something new to me to the degree this does
Ah, thanks so much!
The Troll King, his daughter and the prince from afar
Very lovely!

My illustrations celebrating The Maltese Falcon entering the public domain
Yes, this is a concept art page for a sci-fi comic I was developing!
Summer's end in the Hundred Acre Wood.
Playing in the summertime.
Tigger thinks Pooh's tablecloth is a living creature and gets it before it can get him.
Another scene from the second Winnie-the-Pooh book (believe it or not, Tigger's only been public domain since 2024).
Happy #KidLitArtPostcard day! I'm Julian, an illustrator/writer seeking representation or the right project to collaborate on. Feel free to reach out if you're interested in working with me on a picture or board book!

Illustrating a scene from The Maltese Falcon.
The young gunman Wilmer is held back after Sam provokes him.
I used Home of the Underdogs, but a site called Abandonia was the one I think I personally spent the most time on! That DOS emulation/preservation scene had a huge impact on me
Thanks so much!
Illustrating a scene from The Maltese Falcon.
The villains have drugged Rhea to keep her quiet. Sam helps her fight to stay conscious by quickly walking her back and forth.
My illustrations celebrating Nancy Drew entering the public domain
Thanks very much!
Sam eats sandwiches with the devious femme fatale Brigid
(Scene from The Maltese Falcon, because it's public domain now)
Sam Spade on his way to a crime scene (The Maltese Falcon novel entered the public domain this year, too)
That's right! The first four books in the series are in the public domain now
Go, Nancy, go! (Last illustration to celebrate her being public domain now)
At the moment, this is just a hobby project! These illustrations come from a little public domain book club newsletter I run: illustratingthepublicdomain.substack.com
