Today marks 10 years since the death of Josh Park-Fing at a Work for the Dole site in Toowoomba.

Josh died while participating in forced, unpaid labour.

A court later found that Josh's Work for the Dole site did not meet basic safety standards, yet no one was held accountable.

I really, really want to stop agreeing with the pope.

UPDATE: Debate on the Tasmanian government’s legislation to ban greyhound racing has been delayed.

While we would have loved for this bill to protect greyhounds to be passed today, this vote is important and it is down to the wire.

America was evil way before Trump. They just did a better job of pretending they weren’t.

If leaders abuse the rule of law to make themselves immune to it, so that they can undermine the rights of others with impunity, by what moral or philosophical argument are they entitled to its protections, once they lose power? By what grace should they be sorted by law instead of by other means?

Who else are we going to judge? Way past time Americans took responsibility for the abhorrent things that America has done. Trump is the latest but not the only example.
