Reads like one of those fictitious endorsements that emanates from Celtic social media after ever signing. Quite obvious that Rodgers either didn’t say this or he had never seen the guy play before.

Indeed but it set off a whole set of irrational behaviours from certain fans about his competence. Now that he’s getting a run in the team, we are seeing what he’s about and it’s a significant improvement on what we had.

100%. He instilled confidence in a relatively inexperienced defence by commanding his area and a good few sweep ups as well. He was lampooned for losing 2 goals at Livingston that KS would (in all likelihood) have conceded.

That's the meme I thought of when seeing the result.

We all sadly have that emotional investment. One of my friends called it recently when he stated in exasperation “I don’t know why I fret so much about something that I have so little control over”. It does reinforce that football is the most important of the least important things in our lives.

Nightmare season but seeds were sown long before it started. The self-inflicted damage is as baffling as it is painful.
I feel for you, especially your significant investment financially and time wise.

100% and I’ll freely admit that once we knew Nancy was taking over, I wanted to allow him the maximum space to identify the weaknesses.
Not sure who was more naïve; me or that bollox?

Found the St Lucia No1 CSC. Unfortunately it was 76minutes into the game and so I had missed the thrill of being 2 up away from home.
That said, I have my space for Sunday booked!

TACO enhancing his reputation. Cluck cluck!

Mark Carney is doing exactly that with his retaliation about removing Chinese EV surcharges into Canadian markets. A capped, sensibly calculated response.

You called it earlier Kevin - one to watch. Pleased that sense is being applied here.

I’ll be Frank…no thanks.

We haven’t had 18 managers in the last 25 years, unlike them. I was just discussing it with my Spurs supporting neighbour.

Well it confirms that the recall of Stephen Welsh was not because of an injury to a regular CB.
MON as wily as ever!

Sad state of affairs. My nephew played with Shai Hope at school and inter-school against Archer.

Another Bajan...no wonder the West Indies team is decimated at Test Match level.

Let’s hope that some of the prospects that were being lined up will be binned/reviewed and old school instincts, due diligence and knowledge will be, alongside metrics and analytics, part of the recruitment process going forward.

Jim Orr sent me a message last night with a similar theme. He was truly in awe of Paul’s contribution to the evening.

Other than during Fergus’s tenure, did you ever feel related to any previous board? They are playing an all too significant role atm due to their parsimony and arrogance but I don’t expect that to be a sustainable thing.

I’m up visiting my family. Celtic are very much part of that family and whilst things don’t always go smoothly, I’m still going to endure those tough times because they don’t last forever.

Ashes 2025-26: How England lost latest Ashes series down under in just 11 days BBC Sport chief cricket reporter Stephan Shemilt reveals the inside story of England's Ashes defeat in Australia on and off the pitch.

I didn’t follow the build up to The Ashes so hadn’t realised the dysfunctional preparation.

There will also be a need whenever it’s your time. I hope your daughter’s transition goes smoothly and she is able to adapt to those profound changes in her life. Take care mate and Hail Hail 🍀

I drive for a food redistribution charity in West London and they have recently started a bakery using surplus fruit (gluts as they are known). So am doing that, learning new baking skills along the way. Win-win.

An alternative is to volunteer your time rather than financial donations. As a wise man once told me “Don’t trust a charity with a large HR function!”

Graeme Swann is giving Ally McCoist a run for his money as the most irritating sports co-commentator.
Between him and Alastair Cook; Jeezo, what a stereo of nauseating listening.

Just seen your post on KDS about the settlement. Is that kosher?

Club sources aren’t going to confirm anything until given the go ahead from The Board.
I’ve also heard that Tisdale is out in USA, so he may also be part of termination discussions.
That’s all PM said was that discussions were taking place and we know how protracted those can be.
