I joined my colleagues to announce a package of common sense gun safety legislation that aims to protect Michiganders from gun violence. We are not placing burdens or restrictions on lawful, responsible gun owners, we are taking steps to ensure that our communities are safe from gun violence

HB 5579, would establish guardrails to protect Michigan workers from invasive employer monitoring and workplace surveillance software. As the use of AI technology increases, we must put our workers first when determining how this technology is used and push towards a sustainable and ethical future.

I hosted a press conference with @miaflcio.bsky.social to announce legislation that would establish guardrails around the ability of employers to use AI to surveil their employees. AI has made many aspects of life easier, we also continue to see the negative impacts AI can have at our places of work

Today, I introduced legislation that seeks to prohibit insurance providers from inquiring about the breed of dog that resides in an insured property. Insurance companies should not be able to deny coverage based on what type of dog a person has in their home.

ICE agents across the country are acting with cruelty and impunity, illegally detaining citizens and terrorizing communities. @mihousedems.bsky.social introduced legislation to protect Michiganders freedoms from tyranny. We have the responsibility to act when our government oppresses our citizens.

Tsernoglou: Bills would help protect dogs from freezing to death When you are cold, so are they.

It’s a New Year, and as many Michiganders now, it’s just the beginning of a very cold, long winter. Now more than ever, we must pass legislation that is essential to protecting our companion animals and give law enforcement the proper tools to save vulnerable pets.

House Republicans are stripping funding for critical programs to keep Michiganders fed, to increase infant health, and to help kids with cancer. House Democrats won’t stop fighting to stop their heartless actions and bring you a better life.
