The only people who matter here are the cop kissers and bigots. Nassau Dems have been chasing their votes for years, but could have changed course last election especially since every republican mailer was a pic of them photoshopped with Zohran. Instead they ran away from him and lost big again.

Every negative thing that people say about the south and feckless national democrats applies even more to Long Island. It takes a special kind of awful to pay for the privilege of living near the greatest city in the world but never visit because your brain has been warped to fear and resent it.

I mean daily LIRR commuters hate NYC even more than the people who go once a year if ever. They all resent the city and think they pay high taxes to subsidize it because their local taxes are all funneled to the police and politically connected contractors (on top of the bigotry of course).

Yeah I focus on the essential context and if there’s some nuance I want to point out, but for me that’s arguably more about common courtesy than anything else. Alt text helps the visually impaired but just because you can see the picture doesn’t mean you know what you’re looking at or why.

The Mets are gay enough IMO, they do it big for pride and I’ve been treated nice there since transitioning. But the magic vibes from making grimace gay on Pride night 2024 definitely expired after a year and they either didn’t try hard enough to queer another niche character or did the spell wrong.

It’s a fun theory but they won that game (5-0) and the next one to cap a 6 game win streak and a 16-20 stretch. Pride Night was the next game and they lost 7-5 by coughing up 6 runs in the 6th inning (blowing a 5-1 lead) and kicked off a 7 game losing streak and a 15-20 stretch. The answer is clear.

Honestly the Mets are a compelling watch if you like tragedy. But the results since Pride Night 2025 certainly suggest that I really cursed them when @hrm-kristin-i.gay and I met Mr. and Mrs. Met at the online doll game. It’s worth it for the pics from the off limit areas of Citi Field though.

I mean I’m loyal to the pastrami (and miss arancini bros) but they really do have so much good food. Even the dogs and fries are Nathan’s. Meanwhile people still lineup at shake shack (I suspect my kids will want to do that.

I guess the silver lining of Arsenal’s collapse is it’s kinda hard to get upset about the Mets (to the extent that I can even get upset after last season). These guys aren’t misleading me into thinking they got the juice (especially after they dumped the sledgehammer bit which everybody loved).

Taking the youngest to his first game on Saturday, and it’s also the first time my family is going to any live event together. My wife is a Phillies fan and my kids really couldn’t care less about the game. I’m so excited to have fun with them and nothing these bums do on the field can change that.

I like going to Citi Field, even when the Mets stink I can still eat my beloved pastrami sandwich and sing Lazy Mary during the seventh inning stretch. But I gotta go back to not watching at home.

It’s real simple everything is pain and the world is pointless. Go Mets.
